TASC Legal and Social Justice Service is a community-focused organization dedicated to providing access to justice for vulnerable individuals in the communities of Goondiwindi, Roma, Stanthorpe, Toowoomba, and Ipswich. With a strong emphasis on diversity and inclusion, TASC values and respects people from all backgrounds, including various religions, cultures, LGBTIQA+ individuals, and people of all ages and abilities.
Established over 40 years ago, TASC has evolved from the Toowoomba Community Legal Service to become The Advocacy and Support Centre, expanding its services to include advocacy for social and economic issues connected to legal problems. Serving around 2,500 people annually across a vast area in South West Queensland and Ipswich, TASC offers free legal assistance in areas such as family law, domestic violence, civil and consumer law, and human rights concerns like abuse and discrimination.
Committed to ethical standards, integrity, and social justice principles, TASC’s team of solicitors, social workers, and advocates work tirelessly to support individuals facing vulnerability and marginalization. By providing caring, professional advocacy support and legal advice, TASC aims to empower individuals to understand their rights, take action against injustices, and create positive change within their lives and communities.
