RDA Perth, part of the Regional Development Australia network, was established in 2012 to focus on the Perth region. Led by Chair Keith Ellis, who brings a wealth of experience in marketing and local government leadership, RDA Perth is dedicated to identifying and connecting Western Australia’s regions through economic development and investment opportunities. The committee works collaboratively with various stakeholders to develop state-wide initiatives such as the Lithium Valley and Security and Defence in Western Australia projects, aiming to create regional jobs and foster economic growth.

RDA Perth is actively engaged in developing an Economic Development Strategy and Infrastructure Priorities Plan in partnership with Economic Development Australia, RDA Peel, and local government authorities. By identifying short and long-term infrastructure priorities based on key economic indicators, RDA Perth aims to leverage Commonwealth and State funds to support regional development. The organization also hosts events like the Rural Diversification Strategy Presentation and workshops on topics like peri-urban development, showcasing its commitment to fostering dialogue and collaboration in the community.

Committed to driving positive change in Perth, RDA Perth’s regional plan, “Driving Change,” outlines a vision for the city to become Australia’s most desirable destination for living, working, visiting, and investing. With a focus on building partnerships and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels of government, RDA Perth aims to create a vibrant, cohesive community with a robust economy. The committee’s diverse membership brings a range of expertise to address key priority areas outlined in the regional plan, demonstrating a dedication to achieving success that benefits all communities in the Perth region.
