Wide Bay Burnett Community Legal Service is a generalist community legal service based in the Great Sandy region on the South East Coast of Queensland. Managed by the HBNC, our primary goal is to address disadvantage across the Fraser Coast, Gympie, Bundaberg, and North Burnett regions by providing free, high-quality legal advice. Our service offerings include free legal advice, referral services, and educational resources to ensure equitable access to the legal system and justice for all individuals. While our services are not means-tested, we prioritize assisting those facing hardship or vulnerable to disadvantage.
Committed to upholding human rights and ensuring equal protection under the law, Wide Bay Burnett Community Legal Service operates with a strong focus on social justice and community empowerment. We acknowledge and pay respect to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the First Peoples of Australia, recognizing their unique cultural heritage and connection to the land on which our office is situated.
